Howar
Cottage
Availability
The self-contained cottage is part of
Howar farm which forms the penninsula at the southernmost tip of the
island and includes Burrian Broch. From inside the cottage there are
views of Sanday and across beautiful Nouster
Bay to the pier and the
observatory.
We are vegetarians running a rare breeds
conservation farm, so nobody ever gets eaten. You will meet our
friendly little primitive sheep of all ages and our herd of alpacas
that will eat out of the hand. There is also a colony of well fed
feral cats in the threshing barn.
The cottage has two bedrooms sleeping 4. One is a
twin bedroom, the other is smaller with two bunks. There is a large open
plan kitchen living room with cooker, fridge freezer and television. There
is a shower room and central heating throughout. You have
use of our panoramic sea view conservatory at Howar. Washing machine
and tumble dryer are available.
The cottage is priced by the week at £250
October to April and £300 May to September.
